Over the course of a term, we explore how to develop the mathematical skills needed for success in A-level Physics. Through a combination of online twilight sessions and a face-to-face day, we share practical, evidence-informed approaches to teaching the most challenging mathematical aspects of the course.
Course includes:
- Developing core mathematical skills at the start of Year 12
- Exponentials and logarithms – helping both maths and non-maths students understand the physics behind the mathematics
- Making the most of scientific calculators, including both older and newer models
- Teaching uncertainty and error analysis
- Developing challenging graph skills
- Using Desmos and Isaac Science
