This a free course, generously funded by MathWorks in Cambridge.
Over a series of four remote sessions, we explore some of the mathematical skills that students most commonly struggle with in GCSE Science. Alongside practical classroom strategies, we share evidence-informed approaches that help students build confidence and improve performance.
Course includes:
- Rearranging equations
- Proportional reasoning and ratio tables
- Drawing, interpreting and analysing graphs
- Effective use of scientific calculators
This course is suitable for ECTs, trainee teachers and experienced teachers of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
